Why did you join AmeriCorps?

“ While in college and immediately after, I facilitated STEM education in centers and schools in the Metro Atlanta area and enjoyed the work that I was doing; this satisfaction, along with the positive experiences of some of my friends who previously joined Teach For America, sparked my own interest to join.”

What is your favorite part of national service?

“Sharing stories with like-minded corps members from across the United States who are fighting the same fight to end the existing educational disparities.”

What is your favorite thing to do when your not serving?

“I like to travel. Every chance I get, I’ll travel to a new city. Hopefully soon, I’ll get to do more traveling abroad. “

What is your favorite snack?

“Chips and cheese dip. I’ll wake up in the middle of the night craving it.”

What is your favorite soda?

“My favorite soda is Orange soda.”

What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

“After my service commitment, I want to continue to work with underserved communities in some capacity, whether it is to continue in education or another sector.”
