Why did you join AmeriCorps?

"I think that reaching out to people who need and want our help is fantastic -- I love the aspect of eliminating racism and empowering women, especially as a woman and a minority. I think it's great to be a part of these programs and I think it's important to give back to the community!"

What is your favorite part of national service?

"My favorite part is being around the people I serve."

What's your favorite thing to do when you're not serving?

"Watching Netflix and crocheting -- AT THE SAME TIME."

What's your favorite snack?

"Pretzels and popcorn. And mint chocolate chip ice cream."

What's your favorite soda?

"Canada Dry Ginger Ale!"

What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

"To become a writer. I like writing. And I'm now accepting publishers!"
