"The current goal for AmeriCorps at this site is to bring awareness to the families/individuals in our service area that are unable to have holidays meals due to financial hardship or disasters."
What is something exciting that has happened at this site?
"We are bringing awareness to the issue by having AmeriCorps members collecting donations at businesses in our service area and talking with individuals about the issue. The food collected from this drive will benefit Red Cross in Blount County. The donations will assist families that have recently suffered for a disaster or for people that are suffering from a financial hardship."
