Why did you join AmeriCorps ?

"I joined AmeriCorps in order to make a difference. I believe everyone has a specific role to play at a specific time. I wanted to be a part of the “glue” that holds our future together. Small things make a big differences and I felt the need to make that difference, and make it count."

What is your favorite part of national service?

"My favorite part of National Service is serving at my site with 18 pre-k children in the Bright Beginnings Pre-K Program. Serving here is the results of teamwork. We have been achieving goals and getting things done by working together and keeping the focus on the “big picture."

What is your favorite thing to do when you are not serving?

"I like to learn new things and meet new people. I enjoy challenging myself to do everything better each day. This way, I can be my best self!"

"Water."

Favorite snack?

"Peanut Butter Crackers and yogurt."

What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

"After AmeriCorps, I plan to become a pediatric nurse and continue to touch lives to make a better future."
