Member Spotlight: Clayton McMeans Jr., Instructional Support Team Member
Meet Clayton McMeans Jr., he serves with the AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team at Greenville Middle School.
What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I joined AmeriCorps so I can help give back to the community. I wanted to help guide troubled students to the right path for success.
What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to get a great learning experience out of this service opportunity. I want to be able to see that I’ve made a change in the lives of the children I serve.
What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? providing support to economically disadvantaged students in order to improve literacy and/or math as measured by pre-and post-standardized tests to demonstrate improved academic performance.
What are your plans after AmeriCorps? I plan on going to school and major in computer science. I also plan on playing baseball for the college I attend.
