What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to get experience in working with kids that are struggling in school. I also would like the experience of getting to hear and learn from different teaching philosophies.
What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? my focus will be to help improve student performance in core academic subjects. My focus will also be to help students get prepared for the workforce and college.
What are your plans after AmeriCorps? My plans after AmeriCorps are to get my teaching license. Also, hopefully become a head basketball coach on the high school level.
Thank you for your service Derrick!
