Member Spotlight: Andrew Jones, Instructional Assistant

Meet Andrew Jones, he serves with the AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team at W.O. Parmer Elementary.

What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I wanted the opportunity to work with students. I felt that I could be a positive role model and I could make a difference in the lives of students.

What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to grow as a person. I believe this service opportunity will give me a lot of life experience.

What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? my service will focus on providing support to the students that are at an economic disadvantage. My service will strive to improve performance in literacy and math.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps? I plan on returning to college after AmeriCorps.
