Member Spotlight: Kimberly Nicholson, Resource Coordinator

Meet Kimberly Nicholson, serving with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers AmeriCorps program at the Norwood Resource Center.

What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? The opportunity to positively impact the lives of others and to serve in the Norwood community as an advocate.

What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? To gain experience in team building and community enhancement and make a difference in the Norwood community.

What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? Working hand-in-hand with the students’ families and community members within the Norwood community. I will also focus on student education and development, building stronger families, and establishing healthier neighborhoods.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps? Become employed with the Norwood Resource Center and continue to serve the Norwood community and to develop more programs to serve the community.
