Member Spotlight: Madeline Catchings, ANFRC AmeriCorps member

Meet Madeline Catchings, serving with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers AmeriCorps program at the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement.

What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? My aunt told me they were looking for students, so I put in an application. She told me I would be working with kids, and that excited me.

What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? Experience. I would like to get experience in any area I can.

What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? Working with kids and helping them with homework, and things like that.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps? To work in a hair salon here in Sylacauga. I am a cosmetology major.
