Member Spotlight: William Wesley Sowell, ANFRC AmeriCorps member

Meet William Wesley Sowell, serving with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers AmeriCorps program at the Saliba Alfred Family Services Center.

What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I joined because I wanted to help the Dothan community. Like I was helped. Also, I am wanting to go to college and the education award would come in handy.

What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? To grow all around. Also, the ability to take some college courses.

What will your service focus on for the 2017-18 program year? I will be serving in a Career Center, helping with the job readiness program.

What are your plans after AmeriCorps? Go to school and if possible serve another year in AmeriCorps.
