Member Spotlight: Kenderius Boggan, AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team Member
Meet Kenderius Boggan, currently serving at W.O. Parmer Elementary School, in the AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team.
1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I want to have an impact of the kids through the utilization of my compassion.
2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? What I hope to get out of this service opportunity is to make a difference in the lives of others and to see the youth on the right track. Also, I want to learn more by stepping out of my comfort zone. Every day is a day to learn.
3. What will your service focus on for the 2019-2020 program year? I will be providing direct support to economically disadvantaged children in grades K-2 in order to improve performance in literacy and/or math as measured by pre- and post- standardized tests to demonstrate improved academic performance.
4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps? My plan is to become a Funeral Director. I also may go back to school to become a teacher.
Thank you for your service, Kenderius!
