Member Spotlight: Anjelica Harlow, Teach For America-AL Member

Meet Anjelica Harlow, 8th Grade Math Teacher, currently serving with R. B. Hudson STEAM Academy, a service site of the Teach For America-AL AmeriCorps program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I wanted to serve my country and make a difference. And, I get to do that through AmeriCorps.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity? I would like to feel like I helped inspire change and come away with a more focused idea as to my future career.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2019-20 program year? During this program year, my service will focus on maximizing student achievement by having them grow 3 points on the ACT.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps? Post AmeriCorps, I will complete my teaching certification & apply to/attend grad school.
