Member Spotlight: Ann Tyler Corwin, Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers Member

Meet Ann Tyler Corwin, currently serving at Help Me Grow/Child Development Resources University of Alabama, with the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers AmeriCorps program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps? I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because AmeriCorps allows me to reach parents and offer guidance as their children grow. I have a passion for positive family development and serving with AmeriCorps gives me an invaluable opportunity to do so.

2. What would you like to get from this service opportunity? I look forward to professional experience in a child-parent resource program.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2019-2020 program year? During this program year, my service will focus on early intervention assessments that provide specifically tailored resources in order to foster educational success.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps? My future goal is to develop an educational program that will bring young children and senior care residents together. This will allow for wholesome, multi-dimensional enrichment on each other’s lives.
