Member Spotlight: Ainsley Stevens, Student Conservation Association AmeriCorps Program

Meet Ainsley Stevens, SCA Member, currently serving in Mobile, AL, a service site of the AmeriCorps Conservation Corps AmeriCorps Program.

Members will protect, restore, and enhance public lands and waters through activities like invasive plant removal, trail creation, and native planting along coastal Alabama habitats.

What will your service focus on this year? Invasive species management, fireline maintenance, trail maintenance, erosion control, boardwalk restoration, and animal habitat restoration.

What inspired you to serve as an AmeriCorps member? I was inspired to serve as an AmeriCorps member by the opportunity to engage in meaningful work that focuses on restoring and preserving nature, contributing to a greater environmental impact and fostering a sense of stewardship for our planet.

What advice would you give someone interested in serving with your AmeriCorps State program? Make sure you are passionate and be prepared to go with the flow.

Ainsley, thank you for your service!
