Meet Anuoluwapo Adefiwitan, TFA member currently serving with Bush Hills STEAM Academy, located in Birmingham, Alabama (Jefferson County). A service site of the Teach for America Alabama AmeriCorps program.

Teach For America finds, develops, and supports equity-oriented leaders to transform education and expand opportunity for all children.

What inspired you to serve as an AmeriCorps member?  I desire to help students of marginalized communities value education as a means of self-development.

What are your plans after Teach for America/AmeriCorps? I plan to continue teaching for a couple more years and then open a nonprofit.
