Member Spotlight: Ashlyn Jones, Educate Alabama AmeriCorps Program

Meet Ashlyn Jones, Enrichment Educator, currently serving with Tuscaloosa’s One Place, a service site of the Educate Alabama AmeriCorps Program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps?

I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because I wanted to provide direct service to people in my community.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity?

I want to grow my networking skills and learn more about non-profit organizations.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2021-2022 program year?

My service will focus on assisting the youth in afterschool programs.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

After AmeriCorps, I will continue furthering my education in Social Work and start my career helping others.
