Member Spotlight: Ava Lahti, Student Conservation Association AmeriCorps Program

Meet Ava Lahti, SCA Member, currently serving in Mobile, AL, a service site of the AmeriCorps Conservation Corps AmeriCorps Program.

1. What will your service focus on this year?

While doing various projects, I plan on working to help service the environment and the people around it.

2. What inspired you to serve as an AmeriCorps member?

The social aspect of the job is what drew me in as well as helping the environment. The flexibility also worked well with my schedule.

3. What advice would you give someone interested in serving with your AmeriCorps State program?

If you enjoy nature, this is a great program for you. The work is very rewarding, and you will gain a second family.
