Meet Carlie Frederick, Enrichment Educator, currently serving with SAFE, a service site of the Educate Alabama AmeriCorps Program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps?

I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because I enjoyed my last service and wanted to become a member again.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity?

I want to learn skills that will help me with my career in elementary education.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2021-2022 program year?

My service will focus on tutoring and mentoring 3rd-5th grade students.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

After the AmeriCorps program, I plan to get a degree in elementary education.
