Member Spotlight: Ebony Cook, AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team Member
Meet Ebony Cook, AIST Member, currently serving with Greenville Middle School, a service site of the AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team AmeriCorps program.
AIST members assist students in pre-school - 12th grade in all Butler County Schools (McKenzie, Georgiana & Greenville). AIST partners with community projects & participates in National Service Days throughout the year.
What inspired you to serve as an AmeriCorps member? I was inspired to serve with AmeriCorps because I wanted to help make a difference in my community.
What are your plans after AmeriCorps? I would like to further my education and work in childhood development.
Ebony Cook is currently serving her first term of service starting at Greenville High School and ending her service at W.O. Parmer Elementary School. She is a 2011 Greenville High graduate and has completed the WorkKeys Assessment. She has two children and has a part-time job with the Greenville Senior Center.
