Member Spotlight: Lillian Dale, AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team Member
Meet Lillian Dale, AIST Member, currently serving with Greenville Elementary School, a service site of the AmeriCorps Instructional Support Team AmeriCorps program.
AIST members assist students in pre-school - 12th grade in all Butler County Schools (McKenzie, Georgiana & Greenville). AIST partners with community projects & participates in National Service Days throughout the year.
What inspired you to serve as an AmeriCorps member? I was inspired to serve as an AmeriCorps member because I love working with kids and helping them accomplish new goals and learn new things.
What are your plans after AmeriCorps? After AmeriCorps, I plan to go back to college and get a degree in education.
Lillian Dale is currently serving her first term of service at Greenville Elementary School. She has a part-time job at Cracker Barrel and has three children. She has received 103 credit hours from Alabama State University toward her Bachelor of Science Degree in Rehab Services. She is going to re-apply for the 2024-2025 AIST program year.
