Member Spotlight: Mignon Burton, Teach for America Alabama AmeriCorps Program

Meet Mignon Burton, a High School Science Teacher, currently serving with Greensboro High School, a service site of the Teach for America Alabama AmeriCorps program.

1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps?

I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because I wanted to make a difference and give back.

2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity?

I want to see students' growth in their appreciation for science and possibly consider having a career in the science field.

3. What will your service focus on for the 2021-2022 program year?

During this program year, my service will focus on providing instruction in science.

4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps?

Currently, my plans after AmeriCorps are to be determined.
