Member Spotlight: Taylor Weldon, Mobile Baykeeper AmeriCorps Program
Meet Taylor Weldon, currently serving with Mobile Baykeeper, an environmental non-profit of the AmeriCorps State & National AmeriCorps program.
1. What motivated you to join AmeriCorps?
I was motivated to join AmeriCorps because I wanted to make a difference in my local community. Last year with AmeriCorps was such a fulfilling experience I wanted to return and expand on the progress made during the 2020-2021 year.
2. What would you like to get out of this service opportunity?
I want to see my service as an AmeriCorps member make a positive difference in my community. I want to build on the relationships and progress made last year.
3. What will your service focus on for the 2021-2022 program year?
My service will focus on engagement with the local communities around Mobile and Baldwin counties. As an AmeriCorps volunteer engagement member, my main focus is community engagement.
4. What are your plans after AmeriCorps?
After completing my service in AmeriCorps, I plan to use the Siegal Education Award towards obtaining my CPA license.
